Drawing inspiration from the colour, natural forms & iconic structures of places like California, Singapore, the Scottish isle of Harris and more locally, Whitley Bay, these include linoprints, rubber stamps, monoprints & lithographs.
Prints, drawings and textile pieces inspired by the coast include etchings, linocuts, monoprints, lithographs & artist's books.
Inspired by colour charts, ‘Pistachio’ maps up to 154 colours selected at random. Each small square is made from a background colour and a different colour for the nut, overlaid with dark purple to create the 3D effect.
‘Votes for Women’ commemorates 100 years of women’s suffrage, using their colours of purple, green and white. Each rubber stamp block is hand cut and meticulously printed by hand. The letters and numbers have a background colour and a dark blue/purple top layer.
